Breaking Down the Wall with Rob Bell - Part Four: Co-Create

This is part four in a four-part series about what I learned sitting in the audience of the talented Rob Bell. Check out parts one (on space),  two (on resonance), and three (on wisdom-bombs) here.

And, aside from the amazing widom-bombs and the space and the resonance... What jolted me was what happened BETWEEN us and Rob. From Bro-hugs to Dickie Lives to teen suicide to Margie the preacher!

See, here's the real deal with Rob and his audience. I asked him a question at the end of the time about this very thing. "What's really happening in this room?" I asked. "This energy that we're creating between you as speaker and us as audience...can you talk about that?"

I sort of knew his answer - but I wanted to hear him talk about it. I'm no physicist, but it's basically this: we are made up of energy, and it actually flows between us and that flow of energy changes us.

And, aside from the amazing wisdom-bombs and the space and the resonance... What jolted me was what happened BETWEEN us and Rob. From Bro-hugs to Dickie Lives to teen suicide to Margie the preacher!

SO WHAT?

So, my friends - when I talk about creating talks that move the world and what it means to move your audience - I'm not just talking about some woo-woo idea that we sort of FEEL. I'm talking about the structural change that takes place when we are in the room with each other, and hear things, see things, experience things.

It's not a small thing.

In fact, it's all the big things and all the small things wrapped up into the space between you and me. I can't think of a more important honor than to enter into that space and was so privileged to be a part of it with Rob.
